Are you getting annoying and sometimes scary popups on your Mac saying things like "System Mac OS is infected!", "iCloud hacked!!", "Gmail your account might be stolen", "Delete virus", "Someone is trying to steal from your bank account" and "Virus detected update McAfee"?
There's no need to worry, because today I'll show you how to get rid of these annoyances once and for all!
These popups most likely come from scam websites using the web notification feature of Safari. While annoying, the good thing about this is that there's likely no actual infection on your Mac and your accounts have not been hacked.
To be extra safe, now run a scan for malware, spyware and macOS privacy threats with iBoostUp's Spyware Doctor and remove any malware it may find. Although it is unlikely to detect any actual malware in most instances, you may uncover the presence of trackers and other privacy risks in the applications you use regularly. So now may be a favorable opportunity to look for substitute options.
ππ»ββοΈ UPDATE: 1 NOV 2023 iBoostUp achieved Platinum certification for anti-malware from OPSWAT, in layman's terms this means it does a good job detecting and removing threats.
You might also consider using a network level spyware and adblocker for your Mac like iAntiSpy, which will prevent most scam websites from even loading in the first place!
Hope this helped and see you next time,
